Local Dry Tooling

Here are some shots of my new drytooling crag. The first shot is of the main wall which I haven't really checked out yet. The second one is the short, overhanging, crumbly (ie. OK for drytooling) crack that I climbed. The last one is some large bear poop - which is everywhere up there.

More Mushrooms

Bethany and I went for a day of mountain biking on Saturday and while I thought the mushroom season was over by now, I was very wrong and we ended up getting a bit greedy with the chantrelles. Eventually we had to force ourselves to stop collecting them - I think we could have easily filled up our freezer if we wanted too. There were also plenty of icicle/lion's mane mushrooms around too (which are delicious on an alfredo pizza).

Unfortnately I was feeling a bit sick the next day - probably not from the mushrooms but I've got enough of a psychological association now that they won't sound very appetizing for a while.
